Bicycle Touring

There really is no better way to see the country than on bicycle.

This lovely photograph is from the Vintage Bicycle Quarterly website. Apparently taken in 1902 on the way from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

there is no way that photo was taken on a ride from SF to LA, unless it went through the Sierras... ...but the Sierras don't look like that, do they?

I agree..... I know the Sierras pretty well and I'd be pleasantly shocked if that was the Sierras. Even the geology doesn't look Cali

another thing..... the bikes look like their from the 50's and the photo is way too high of a quality for the 20's!!
